DESCRIPTION:Provide Your Input on the City’s Affordable Housing and Community Development Needs for 2026-2027\n\nEach year\, the City of Raleigh receives funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). These funds are used for affordable housing initiatives. Initiatives include creating affordable rental and homeownership housing\, helping those experiencing or at-risk of homelessness\, providing public services to persons with low- and moderate-incomes\, and supporting community development needs. \n\n\nThe City of Raleigh is projected to get $4.5 million in federal funding next year. We need your input on how to use it! \n\nThe FY2026-2027 Action Plan Draft is ready to review and available for public comment through April 15. \nWays to provide comments: \n\nEmail written comments to housing@raleighnc.gov\nMail written comments to “Housing and Community Development Department\, P.O. Box 590\, Raleigh\, NC 27602”\nCall 919-996-4330\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAttend a Public Meeting to Learn More and Make Your Voice Heard\n\nThe City of Raleigh Housing and Community Development Department will host two public meetings and a Public Hearing to receive input from the community on the draft 2026-2027 Annual Action Plan. Join us in person or virtually at one of the dates below: \n\nIn Person – Tuesday\, March 17\n6:00 – 7:00 p.m.\nChavis Community Center\, Reception Hall\n505 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd\, Raleigh\, NC 27601\nVirtual – Thursday\, March 19\n6:00 – 7:00 p.m.\nJoin Meeting\nPublic Hearing (pending City Council authorization) – Tuesday\, April 7\n7:00 p.m.\nCity of Raleigh Council Chambers\, Raleigh Municipal Building\n222 W. Hargett St\, Raleigh\, NC 27601\n\nTo speak at the public hearing\, please sign up by 5:00 PM on the Friday before the hearing.
