DESCRIPTION:The City of Raleigh’s Hospitality and Nightlife team from the Office of Special Events and the Safe\, Vibrant and Healthy Community Strategic Plan team invite hospitality industry owners and employees to the next HIPE session. \nJoin us Monday\, June 10th\, from 3:00pm until 4:30pm at The Grove at City Market for a collaborative training with representatives from the Downtown Raleigh Alliance\, North Carolina Harm Reduction Coalition\, and Raleigh Police Department’s ACORNS unit. \nAttendees will learn: \n\nDe-escalation skills to calm potentially dangerous situations\nTo recognize and respond to an overdose by administering Naloxone\nHow the ACORNS unit can connect those experiencing crisis with available resources\n\nJune 10th\, 20243:00p.m. – 4:30p.m.The Grove at City Market\, 208 Wolfe Street

DESCRIPTION:Join us Monday night\, June 10th at 7 PM for our regularly scheduled Southwest Raleigh Community Engagement Meeting we will be meeting on Zoom. \n\nGreetings to Friends and Neighbors\nCity of Raleigh Inspections Report – Inspector David Johnson.\nCity of Raleigh Monthly Report and Update – Captain Manson (SW-Southwest). Captain LaTour (SE-Southeast)\, Captain Van Antwerp (DT-Downtown). Our SW area is now part of three Raleigh Police Districts.\nOur June meeting Continues the Quarterly Open Forum Format – Please feel free to use this time to bring your comments\, concerns\, and subjects of interest to the group. If you have opinions\, concerns\, or just general comments that you want to share\, this is the time. \nHopefully\, we can soon have access to a meeting location in our neighborhood where we can again share some ice cream.
