DESCRIPTION:Would you like to learn what it takes to be a member of the Raleigh Fire Department (RFD)? If the answer is YES\, then join us for our Fire Academy Information Sessions on Thursday\, September 28. \nDuring the session\, you will interact with members of the department. We will share and discuss with you: \n\nthe Fire Academy;\nwhat the hiring process entails;\nwhat it’s like to be a member of the Raleigh Fire; and\,\nhow to prepare for a career in the fire service.\n\nThe session will be held from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the Keeter Training Center (105 Keeter Center Drive\, Raleigh\, NC 27601). \nThere will also be a virtual option offered to those who sign up and cannot attend in person\, via Teams. \nRegister online (registration closes at 8 a.m. on September 27) \nThe application for the 2024 Academy will be available September 1-30 for an Academy start date of February 12\, 2024. The application will be available online through the City of Raleigh website on September 1.
