DESCRIPTION:Agenda:\n• Chavis-Dix Strollway presentation\n• Vote on board nominations for the Central CAC\n• Vote to approve CAC bylaws\n(We could have a police report at the start of the meeting\, not sure yet.) \n\nHi Central CAC neighbors\, \nOur third organizing meeting to reactivate Raleigh’s Central CAC is one week from today: Monday\, August 24th at 7:00 PM. \nPlace and time of our Central CAC meeting:\n• Tarboro Road Community Center\n• Monday\, August 24th\n• 7:00 PM \n Agenda:\n• Chavis-Dix Strollway presentation\n• Vote on board nominations for the Central CAC\n• Vote to approve CAC bylaws\n(We could have a police report at the start of the meeting\, not sure yet.) \n\n\n\nChavis-Dix Strollway (yellow dots) will connect with the South Park Heritage Trail (gray dots). The Chavis-Dix Strollway is envisioned as a walkable\, urban cultural trail\, designed to safely connect pedestrians between the city’s heritage sites of downtown – the Dorothea Dix Park and the John Chavis Memorial Park. As the second cultural trail of Raleigh\, it builds on the South Park Heritage Trail elements to continue the storytelling to celebrate Raleigh’s rich cultural heritage. \n  \nAttached is a PDF of the Citizen Advisory Councils Guide. Please go to page five to read the CAC bylaws that need to be voted on at the upcoming meeting. After these bylaws are approved\, the new Central CAC board members can amend them at future meetings to meet any unique needs of the reactivated Central CAC. \nCommunity Organizers:\n• Mike Motsinger / michael.motsinger@gmail.com\n• Brian Rineer / brineer@bellsouth.net\n• John VanWagner / mrjohnvanwagner@gmail.com \nRCAC Facilitators:\n• Mike Lindsay\, Hillsborough-Wade CAC Chair / inform@nc.rr.com / 919-429-0177\n• Larry Helfant\, Mid Town CAC Chair / kidlaurie@gmail.com / 919-880-7692 \n\n\nMichael Lindsay\nChair of the Hillsborough-Wade CAC\nMobile: 919-429-0177\ninform@nc.rr.com \n\n\n  \n\n\nClick here for more information about Citizen Advisory Councils on the City of Raleigh’s website. \n\nClick here to see how your address relates to the boundaries of the Central CAC.
