If the Committee agrees that the properties should be sent landmark inquiry letters\, the letters will be prepared and signed at the next meeting.\n.\nAt the December 2025 Research Committee meeting\, the Committee decided to review modernist properties.  The Committee completed its review of modernist structures currently included on the list of Places Worthy of Preservation at their March 2026 meeting. A list of properties identified in the 2020 Leif Valand Historic Context report is attached\, these properties have not yet been evaluated for inclusion on the list.\n\nSee the complete list of Properties Worthy of Preservation at raleighnc.gov\, search term: ”landmarks”\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nD.\n\nNew Business\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nD.1\n\nRaleigh Historic Landmark Application: Lustron House (314 Haywood St)\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nA Raleigh Historic Landmark application and report has been received for the Lustron House (314 Haywood St). \nOn October 20\, 2020\, City Council authorized the use of the Preservation Revolving Fund for the rehabilitation of the Lustron House. The submission of a landmark designation application is a requirement of the loan authorization.
