The Board consists of eight members: four regular members and two alternate members are appointed to two-year terms by the City Council and must reside within the City limits; one regular member and one alternate are appointed by Wake County Commissioners and must reside within the City’s extraterritorial jurisdiction. DESCRIPTION:Join us Monday night\, April 8th at 7PM for our regularly scheduled Southwest Raleigh Community Engagement Meeting we will be meeting on Zoom. \n\nGreetings to Friends and Neighbors\nCity of Raleigh Inspections Report – Inspector David Johnson.\nCity of Raleigh Monthly Report and Update – Captain Karlinski (SW-Southwest). Captain LaTour (SE-Southeast)\, Captain Van Antwerp (DT-Downtown). Our SW area is part of three Raleigh Police Districts.\nOur April meeting will Focus on Projects in the Dorothea Dix Park Area – Lauren Danforth\, Marketing and Communications Manager for Dix Park\, and Nick Neptune\, Director of Outreach and Community Engagement for the Dix Park Conservancy will provide information on both Conservancy and City projects that are a part of the Dix Park Plan. Some of the projects include the construction of the Gipson Play Area\, the Rocky Branch improvements\, the restoration of three stone houses\, a future land bridge connecting to Pullen Park\, and Lake Wheeler Road improvements.
